”A severe symptom for Bulgarian politicians is that they do not hear each other among themselves. The language of our politicians does not reach the minds of the voters. This is a serious problem that they don't want to work on.
This was stated by the executive director of “Gallup International” Petko Petkov in the program “The Live Day” on NOVA NEWS. He quotes the French psychotherapist Françoise Dolteau as saying that through language people make sense of many things. “When your language is nice, beautiful, you have clear messages, people notice you, they would go vote for you”, Petkov thinks.
According to him, the end of the 50th National Assembly was sad and aggressive. “The Bulgarian Parliament is the most important institution in the country, the people there must be at the level,” said the sociologist. “Bulgarian politicians during this parliament spoke with childish concepts – “good”, “bad”, “dark forces”, “light forces”. It's like they lack the nuances. Sometimes you can't be good or bad, there is a right and a wrong decision, what matters is what is better for the country. During the adoption of the laws, there were quarrels, but no debate”, Petkov described the level of communication in the 50th National Assembly.

According to him, the recent election campaigns are very weak and aimed at insulting the opponent. “The Bulgarian voter wants to hear ideas, a story about what will happen after the elections”, added Petkov.
