Prof. Hristova on the fight against the bought vote: The picture seems preparatory to me. Someone must be blamed

How effective these measures are, it is difficult to say now. We will see the result of the election. With a lower voter turnout than it was in the last election, the weight of this bought vote will increase, since the threshold for entering the parliament will also be very low. That is why the focus is now on these votes, according to associate professor Milen Lyubenov

Prof. Hristova on the fight against the bought vote: The picture seems preparatory to me. Someone must be blamed - 1

President Rumen Radev gathered the institutions responsible for the organization of the elections and asked for the names of parties for which there is evidence that they give money in exchange for votes.

"This was a surprising meeting for me, initiated by accident, because over the years we have not witnessed such conversations right with the president. The caretaker government is now responsible for the way the elections are conducted. Two weeks before the vote, such an event intensifies the political tension even more. The feeling among the citizens is that less and less depends on their vote, to a large extent with these vote-buying practices", commented the political scientist Assoc. Milen Ljubenov in "The Day ON AIR".
According to him, the services and the Ministry of Internal Affairs should work quietly, and not create "noise in the system".

Political psychologist Prof. Antoineta Hristova reported the sensational information that the amount per vote has reached very high values.

"They admit that after the elections there will be scandals, that some party may ask for a revision and counting of votes. Therefore, arguments are accumulating that there was an attempt to understand what was happening. Someone has to be blamed. To me, the picture looks preparatory", she analyzed before Bulgaria ON AIR.

The Ministry of the Interior takes active measures against the bought vote

"How effective these measures are, it is difficult to say from now on. We will see the result of the election. With a lower voter turnout than it was in the last election, the weight of this bought vote will increase, since the threshold for entering the parliament will also be very low. That's why the focus is now on these voices", says Assoc. Lyubenov.
Political leaders cannot allow themselves to be effective - they have limitations regarding the freedom to choose policies, the freedom of collaboration and the freedom to conduct an election campaign, emphasized Prof. Hristova.

"They don't orient themselves in the situation. This betrays a very strong weakness, a weakness of the leaders at the moment. Therefore, for them, otherwise motivated, and not sincerely motivated people can. The corporate vote will be actively present in the major parties, the second mechanism is also being sought - the paid vote," she explained.

Will a regular cabinet be formed?
"The most active is "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria" (PP-DB). It would be difficult to form a cabinet in a 9-party parliament. His horizon will not be very long. Most likely, a cabinet will be formed between GERB-SDS, PP-DB, with the support of additional formations that will stand behind such a program", predicts Assoc. Lyubenov, who added that the most working option is a coalition government.
Prof. Hristova also expressed her doubts about the government. According to her, the procedure for choosing the chief prosecutor will be key.

"It is in the interest of GERB-SDS that the current incumbent remains. PP-DB have a priority change of the chief prosecutor. The situation is conflictual, there will be scandals, there will be a topic. There is no way to have a government. There are triangular stones. The bigger intrigue is whether "Revival" will become second. The other intrigue is whether the smallest parties will pass. DPS, BSP will be weak", the political psychologist pointed out.
