We have a unique country, unique gifts , how come we don't have a little sense as a nation? GERB leader Boyko Borisov asked this question at a pre-election event in Targovishte.

"I hope colleagues from the media, colleagues from other political parties, when talking about income, will see the NSI data. I explain to myself why during the management of GERB Bulgaria was easily accepted into the "waiting room" of the Eurozone and the European Banking Union. If they looked at such negative or very little inflation - it is important to people. In other words, the money you have earned or have on deposit has the same purchasing power as it did when you got paid. During the COVID crisis, we gave BGN 50 each to pensioners without distorting the model. And they enjoyed them very much. With this 50 BGN, you could buy something for 50 BGN. Then with 120 BGN, you cannot buy what was 50 BGN. Unfortunately, that's it," Borisov summarized.

He is worried about the funds for projects in the Bulgarian municipalities. "Once we were dealing with a 6.7 billion hole in the budget. Then I had a finance minister who literally didn't like people and didn't care if they suffered. He said: "fast pizza for a year". We tightened our belts, fixed the deficits. And you from the municipalities expect that from next year someone will guarantee you billions to do what you have dug up?! If I were the mayor, I wouldn't dig anything up, knowing the structure of the state. It's like removing the roof of a house whose repair costs BGN 100,000, but you have BGN 10,000. This is currently the structure of municipalities. I don't want to scare you, but with this "hole,", with this colossal money that was given for salaries and pensions, I don't know how we will collect money for such large-scale contracts," Borisov said.

The leader of GERB made a concise oral retelling of the Bulgarian folk tale by Ran Bosilek - "The Trouble". Draw an analogy between the broken down car that two brothers are trying to fix and the current state of Bulgaria.

"Hemus" and "Veliko Tarnovo - Byala" will be prioritized over your projects. First them, then the others. God bless! And to complain and whine - there is no point! My father, God forgive him, had a favorite story - about trouble. Two brothers had their car broken down. They stand around her, spinning, spinning. One passes, a second passes, they ask for help. They answer: "call trouble". They shouted, they shouted trouble - no. In the end, they got together and fixed their car," Borisov finished the story.
