But that's not the reason. I will not tire of arguing that there is no outflow of foreign investment, especially such as cheap labor. This was stated by the president of KNSB Plamen Dimitrov in the interview of “On focus“ after the news.
The state, employers and unions did not agree on the minimum wage, which is expected to become 1,077 BGN from January 1, 2025. “Nothing unusual and unforeseen happened. An existing norm of the Labor Code was simply implemented by the Cabinet Office. She says next year's minimum wage for next year should be 50% of the average of the previous 12 months as of September 1. The arithmetical calculation shows that this is BGN 1,077”, he stated.
„From a formal point of view, there are no legal problems. But there are questions regarding the place and role of unions and employers. This had to be decided not on the occasion of the minimum wage, but because of the implementation of the directive on adequate minimum wages”, added Dimitrov.
