Tsoncho Ganev from “Vazrazhdane” guest in the show “Face to Face” on bTV and presented the position of the political organization in response to the previously spread position of the television in connection with the visit of the chairman of “Vazrazhdane” in another broadcast of the media.

In the theory and practice of television journalism, there is enough information about journalistic genres, their media implementation and, in particular, the interview genre. But there is no journalistic genre that allows journalists to debate guests in the studio. The role of the journalist is very clear and does not imply presentation of his personal beliefs. The role of the media is mediating between the society and the institutions/parties/authority, as written in the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria and in the Law on Radio and Television.
bTV is a television station registered under the Commercial Law, and the incident logically raised questions related to the public responsibility of the commercial media in election campaign periods and to what extent their participation supports the development of democratic processes in society, rather than compromising them with a frank display of his political biases.
„Revival“ there is nothing against the commercial media selling advertising time, but whether they should participate in the election campaign could be the subject of a wide public discussion.”, is the position of “Revival”.

Tsoncho Ganev added that, in his opinion, bTV is not only protecting its journalist through a statement, and in order to make it clear whether the journalist lied on national air, Ganev in turn cited a decision of the Commission for the Protection of Personal Data, according to which the doctor, who broke the law and entered the health files of Kostadinov and his children, was fined BGN 500. According to Ganev, with this declaration, the media is openly conducting an election campaign against Vazrazhdane.
Therefore, he asked rhetorically if the media had a position on another case, in which another political leader called all journalists “turkeys”, because he was not aware of such being available in public space.
