Academician Rumen Ralchev on the tragedy near Count Ignatievo: Hasty statements strain society - 1

"After with the ministry itself denying that there was such a threat - if there was - at least they were prudent not to blow things up. When there is a threat, you don't go through the media. The signal is transmitted where it needs to be. "Military Police" has sufficient strength, capability and means to try to intercept where the signal came from. Of course, DANS will take an attitude".

This is what the national security expert Academician Rumen Ralchev commented in the show "The Day ON AIR". reports of a threat to the life of the head of the "Military Police" Brigadier General Ivaylo Sotirov.

In his words, in order to threaten such a figure, it means that something has happened to someone, or it is an insinuation that aims to tense the situation before the election, as well as with the investigation of the crash of the two pilots.

"It is too early to say that anyone can influence what happened because the box has already been found. It has been read. There are still many elements to be worked out - the ground personnel, the relationship, the orders they received. The Department of Defense's haste to say that the Airmen are to blame is unprofessional. There are still many things to be discussed", Academician Ralchev told Bulgaria ON AIR.

Hasty statements strain society, according to the expert.

"The sooner they apologize to the relatives of the dead, the better, regardless of the commission's decision later," he added.

"There are many influencing factors. The hours that the pilots fly are not enough, the material part is outdated, the maintenance is not quite what it should be. The preparation of these personnel squeezes the opportunities from the pilots, but there are stages of development - we must not skip certain steps", insisted Academician Ralchev.

"That the police have become active is good, but whether the targets are right is a different matter. And where is the prosecutor's office? Let's see the follow-up. Catching someone is one thing, having evidence is another. It is not so difficult in Bulgaria to control the criminal contingent and the fashion for buying votes by the police", concluded Academician Ralchev.
