The cars of the Ministry of the Interior were left without "Autocasco" insurance. News.bg learned this from its sources. The ministry with the largest fleet will have to pay for the damage to the cars from its own budget in the event of an accident. And there are no shortage of them.

From the documents on the announced public contracts for the insurance of the cars of the Ministry of the Interior, it can be seen that the order for the insurance of the cars of the Ministry of the Interior is divided into two parts - for civil liability and for auto insurance. Our Home Office sources comment that this order has always gone together.

From the brief description of the order documentation, it is clear that it is declared as "separate item No. 3 "Compulsory insurance "Civil Liability" of motorists of road vehicles owned by the Ministry of Internal Affairs" from a public order with the subject: "Insurance of motor vehicles, engineering and marine equipment, incl. additional equipment installed in them, owned by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), and such received for temporary use by the Ministry of Internal Affairs" 3 separate positions each.

On the basis of Art. 21, para. 6 of the ZOP in conjunction with Art. 20, para. 3, item 2 of the Public Procurement Act, separate position No. 3 will be assigned according to the order valid for its estimated value - by collecting offers with an announcement in accordance with Chapter twenty-six of the Public Procurement Act. Separate item No. 1 and 2 will be awarded in accordance with Art. 18, para. 1, item 1 in conjunction with Art. 20, para. 1, item 1, letter "b" from ZOP-open procedure."

No other procedure has been published in the Public Procurement Register for more than a month since the announcement of order 02851-2024-0041 for civil liability.
