A total of 846 files and 111 pre-trial proceedings for violations of the political rights of citizens were formed by 2:00 p.m. today, the prosecutor's office announced.
Most of the pre-trial proceedings are related to the vote for people's representatives in the Appellate Prosecutor's Office in Sofia – 37, followed by Burgas with 32, Varna – 29, Veliko Tarnovo – eight and Plovdiv – five.
The press center of the prosecutor's office recalls that the Supreme Prosecutor's Office has a duty unit of prosecutors and employees that summarizes the information received from the prosecutor's offices throughout the country.
The National Interdepartmental Unit, which coordinates the activities of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Bulgaria, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Agency "National Security" continues to function. to ensure a quick and adequate response to counter crimes related to the electoral process and the lawful conduct of the National Assembly elections.
In line with counteraction to crimes against the political rights of citizens, 123 pre-trial proceedings were instituted, 81 were investigated according to the general procedure and 42 were fast-tracked, the Ministry of the Interior announced. The information is as of 12:00 today. Of all the pre-trial proceedings, 111 are precisely for violated political rights. A total of 71 were detained within the framework of the 227 specialized police operations carried out so far on the territory of the country. 1771 warning protocols were drawn up under Art. 65 of the Law on the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
