Solomon Passi: The arrogance of not voting pays the high price of being ruled by idiots - 1

„The arrogance of not voting pays the high price of being ruled by idiots” - this proverb of the ancient Greeks was recalled to bTV by the former foreign minister and chairman of the Atlantic Club, Solomon Passi.

„According to one of the theories about the origin of the word „idiot” – in Greek it means “a person who does not vote and is not interested in politics”, he added.

According to Passi, if we do not do something proactively, Europe will be “Africanized” – it's a matter of simple arithmetic, because according to the trends, in 20-25 years, the population of Africa will grow to 2.5 billion, and the people there will be very young, very motivated, fertile, intense.

They will be driven out by the climatic features, but also by the current conditions, and they will go in search of a better life.

„I'm not saying there's anything wrong, I'm saying it's a fact. But what we can do to manage this fact is the opposite – to Europeanize Africa”, Passi pointed out.

„The stake today is the future. And what I observe in all the fights in Europe is that there is very little talk about the future, very little talk about the children. You shouldn't give the people what they want, you should give the people what their children will want. People are extremely inclined to steal from the happiness of their children in favor of their temporary prosperity, added the former foreign minister.
