< p>The external impact on internal political processes in Bulgaria is greatly exaggerated. The dynamics of what is happening across the Ocean and on the Bulgarian political scene are different. This is what he said in “Your day” the sociologist Elena Darieva.
The political scientist Hristo Panchugov commented on the fairness of the vote in our country as follows: „Even in those sections where there are grounds for doubting the method of counting ballots or filling in protocols, everyone has signed and officially recognized the data. Obviously, we have a bug in the system, the parties themselves are complicit in what is happening.
He pointed out that the essential question is whether we have a plan for a way out of the situation and how politicians can restore confidence in the electoral system and in the parties themselves. And he added that it is important to have a stable government to make a change in the practices that cast a shadow of doubt on the electoral process. “The lists of “dead souls” is an elementary justification for any opportunity for parties to inspire people to go to the polls,” he pointed out.
In his words, the CEC should stop being a political body. And he added that there should not be people sent by parties whose main function is to “defend its interests”. Darieva added that this practice is also reproduced in the sectional committees. Panchugov is of the opinion that census centers should be created.
According to Darieva, the setup for mutual control between individual parties and the gathering of their representatives in sectional committees no longer works. She pointed out that the topic of “demographic changes in society, which made it possible for the economy to be more important than democracy in small settlements, must be brought up”. The sociologist explained that “we are witnessing more and more brutal violations of electoral practices”, especially when counting voters' votes.
