"According to our calculations, the bought votes in the October 27 election are between 400 000 and 500 000". This is what the chairman of "Revival" said. - Sofia Deyan Nikolov at a press conference in the parliament, broadcast by BTA.
"Everyone, except for "Revival", buys votes - some in huge amounts, others - in very small amounts,", he commented.
From “Revival“ have made a statistical analysis of the deviations in the vote for all parties in the National Assembly and for the remaining out-of-parliament "Majesty". Examples were given at the press conference with sections where there was a sharp drop or jump in votes for a political force in the last election compared to the previous one.
"In 90% of the cases in which there are strange anomalies in the election results, we are talking about villages," Nikolov pointed out. And he added that these data cannot prove to the court that someone bought a vote or that this vote was controlled, but they are grounds for an investigation. "We expect, on the basis of such analyses, to contact the relevant institutions, to investigate and prevent vote buying in the next elections," Nikolov pointed out.
The Deputy Chairman of "Revival" Petar Petrov said that they are organizing a round table to discuss the need and outline the main changes in the electoral and criminal legislation. He said that they will invite civil organizations and associations, experts on the electoral process, participants in the electoral administration.
