I want to tell all Bulgarians that Peevski's strength comes from the fact that he is bluffing. He is neither that scary nor that strong. If the Bulgarians stop being afraid of him, he will be Mr. Nobody.
This was stated on the sidelines of the parliament by Kiril Petkov from "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria", who commented on his scandal with Delyan Peevski at the beginning of today's plenary session.
"In this verbal demonstration, I wanted to show the Bulgarians that there is nothing terrible - he is only bluffing. I told him he bought 200,000 votes and he said he didn't. We prove it in a very simple way - his personal approval before the election was 3.3%, and the new beginning received 11.5%. This difference comes from buying votes," Petkov was categorical.
"We from the "sanitary cordon" we will not back down around Peevski. You saw this man with his simple demeanor, the things he shouted at the presidency - a crazy man. Or we stop it right now, and GERB has no way to get out of our declaration. Without justice we cannot move forward. We all want the elections to be cashed, and GERB say - this is normal. GERB should say that the new beginning was illegitimately chosen and the "sanitary cordon" around Peevski should stay. "Once and for all, GERB must say - Peevski or Bulgaria," concluded Kiril Petkov.
