Official Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivan Kondov will participate in the annual meeting of foreign ministers from the Central European Initiative initiative (CEI), which will be held in Tirana today and tomorrow. This was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) on its website, BTA reported.
The focus of the discussion will cover topics from the draft Joint Statement, which will be adopted as the main document of the meeting.
The Central European initiative includes 17 participating countries, including nine EU member states, countries from Southeast Europe in the process of membership negotiations and countries from the Eastern Partnership. Bulgaria has been a full member of CEI since June 1, 1996, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs.
At the end of September, Minister Ivan Kondov took part in New York in the informal breakfast of the ministers of foreign affairs of the member states of the Central European Initiative, which was hosted by the Albanian Presidency of the format.
