"Our group will act so that we do not go to elections with Mr. Glavchev at the head. In elections, you have to go through clear waters. And what we saw on October 27 should not be repeated. Mr. Glavchev is the one who was responsible for the composition of his government, including the Ministry of the Interior. That is why we contested this provision in the Constitutional Court. Even more so before it comes to such a tied knot. The roulette should not have only one number and it should be Mr. Glavchev. This was said by the People's Representative from the BSP - UNITED LEFT and candidate for the Speaker of the National Assembly Assoc. Nataliya Kiselova on the air of EURONEWS TV.
Accordingly, the candidates for Speaker have different concepts of how to develop the National Assembly. The understanding of the left unification is to hold talks with all the parliamentary groups that have sent an invitation or with which the socialists have had joint initiatives. Kiselova clarified that there is no technical chairman, and the only thing that is clear is that Mr. Silvi Kirilov has intentions to be the next acting prime minister.
"There is another possibility that will give some air to both the assembly and to form those bodies in the lists that will be candidates for acting minister-president, so that there will be an election. Our understanding is that there must be an alternative from among those for the president to choose, and this is the responsibility of the National Assembly, because that is the current constitutional provision. Let's see who the candidates of the other groups are. Each watches to see if the other will blink. The PP-DB blinked and withdrew their candidate," the professor of constitutional law explained.
For Natalia Kiselova, the main question is one - are we urgently going to quick elections or will the National Assembly decide to make the elections different from those on October 27. According to her, this is the responsibility and decision of the first and second parliamentary groups in the sense of the Constitution.
"At the moment, one possibility is Mr. Glavchev acting prime minister, if not, Mr. Kirilov. We say otherwise. We have to form the bodies that are in the "home book" - eg ombudsman and deputy ombudsman. This is what is important, not the parliamentary groups focusing only on the speaker of the parliament and the future elections. The institution must work and certain things must be done", Kiselova was categorical.
"When two - PPDB and GERB are fighting, the proposal of BSP - UNITED LEFT is for the third to come, who will get the parliament out of the situation. Now this is not only a question of supremacy, but a question of the future, not just for the 51st National Assembly, but for the future of Bulgaria. Otherwise, if we hold another such election, people will have no motivation to go to vote. Someone needs to realize that they are the cause of the situation we are in right now and step back. GERB and PP-DB are these co-causers together with DPS", said Assoc. Nataliya Kiselova in conclusion.
