We do not give or accept ultimatums. Lack of dialogue is not a sensible approach. Our support for Assoc. Kiselova is not subject to hesitation because she has her serious arguments. This was stated by the chairman of ABV Rumen Petkov in the program "The Day ON AIR".
In his words, the Constitutional Court is one of the few institutions in the country that has preserved its authority and dignity.
"PP-DB got us into this drama. They made the changes to the Constitution. When such type of changes are made, one goes in a direction from which there is no return," Petkov told Bulgaria ON AIR.
He emphasized that Assoc. Nataliya Kiselova is not politically bound to a party and has serious chances to gather a lot of support for the Speaker of the Parliament.
" Assoc. Kiselova would support changes in the Electoral Code, the Law on Bankruptcy, energy security, guaranteeing the commitments made in the payment of the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Defense, guaranteeing a greater calm and institutional debate, Petkov specified.
We are on the threshold of a constitutional crisis
According to him, all politicians have the understanding that they vote more for the prime minister than for the speaker of the parliament.
"We are on the threshold of a constitutional crisis. "BSP - United Left" not looking for a constitutional crisis. Assoc. Kiselova is the most convincing candidate, but we need to find a solution that avoids the constitutional crisis. We continue to undermine institutional trust in society. And that's why he doesn't vote. We constantly argue to the public that something deeply dishonest and incorrect is happening," he added.
The leader of ABV is of the opinion that Bulgaria needs a program government.
