The first session of the 51st National Assembly continues for the 19th consecutive day with a new, eighth attempt for the representatives of the people to elect a speaker, reports Dariknews.bg.
From "There is such a people" again proposed the candidacy of Silvi Kirilov, "Vazrazhdane" and "BSP-United Left" reaffirmed theirs, of Petar Petrov and Nataliya Kiselova, respectively, and shortly before the start of the session on the sidelines of the parliament, GERB leader Boyko Borisov stated that they were withdrawing Raya Nazaryan as a proposal.
Minutes after registering and announcing the candidacies from the rostrum, MPs went on a 30-minute break. After they returned, they proceeded to vote on the proposed candidates for the head of the parliament, but none of them gathered the necessary votes. Venko Sabrutev from PP-DB proposed a new 60-minute break and Silvi Kirilov announced it.
Constant going on vacations has become a tradition in recent days around discussions and trying to find a way out of the situation.
