Days after his requested resignation from the parliamentary group of "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria", Yavor Bozhankov announced that he will remain an MP.
"My resignation was requested by Kiril Petkov and Lena Borislavova. To this I replied that I would resign when the parliamentary group asked for it. There is no such request yet. If they ask me to resign - I will not remain an independent deputy, I will give up my seat to the next one, Bozhankov said on bTV, quoted by novini.bg.
Paradoxically, this resignation was requested for the same reason I was invited. Two years ago I voted against the paper vote and for the Ukrainian aid, then I was told - "we need such people, with a free opinion". Now they want my resignationfor the same thing. I am absolutely convinced of my decision, I am convinced of my motives and the effect it has on Bulgaria. The election of the speaker of the parliament is a choice for a potential prime minister and a caretaker cabinet. In a situation of political crisis - it could be for more than a year, added the MP.
Bozhankov confirmed that Gen. Atanas Atanasov is a PP-DB candidate for the Speaker of the Parliament.
When we chose Glavchev as the head of the Audit Chamber, we knew that he could become an acting prime minister. We changed the Constitution. What doesn't work well is the "home book", Bozhankov explained. "Today, when we say that Glavchev is the greatest evil. "We have to tell people, 'sorry, we've brought things to this point,'" he added.
According to him, Silvi Kirilov's biography is more than alarming. "It was seen that he is not able to lead two sessions, what are we talking about being the permanent chairman of the National Assembly and managing the entire country. In addition, Kirilov was promoted by ITN. The party that overthrew our government. They removed the machines and returned the paper ballots," he added.
When Radev formed caretaker governments, quite a few people were of the "There is such a people". I know many things. They lead me to the conclusion that Rumen Radev will choose Silvi Kirilov as interim prime minister, explained Yavor Bozhankov.
He defined as a "temporary measure" the suspension of the election for a new chief prosecutor by law. "We must not create false expectations,", he believes.
When asked in which list he will be included in possible elections, Bozhankov answered: "Many people tell me that now is the time to form a party. I strongly believe that the political system should not be fragmented. I will not be the person to divide the democratic community. I will not create a party".
