The water regime in Pleven is being cancelled. This was announced at a press conference by the mayor of the municipality Dr. Valentin Hristov. It was also attended by the Minister of Environment and Water Eng. Peter Dimitrov.
"Stopping the water supply regime does not release us from the obligation to continue working in the direction we have set out to reduce losses in the water transmission network”, said the mayor, Dr. Hristov.
The municipality of Pleven revised part of its projects for the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, which included the replacement of the public utility network, he added.
"The issue of Pleven's water supply and the state of the water transmission network has been neglected for more than 35 years. This mesh is extremely worn and needs to be replaced. For the first time, the local authority and the VIC company are taking measures in this direction and putting the emphasis on this activity. It is a pleasure for me to see this process", said Minister Petar Dimitrov.
