From "Justice for Everyone" again gathered at a protest in front of the Courthouse in Sofia against the election of a new chief prosecutor.
According to the disaffected, this week is the last opportunity to start work on changes to the Judiciary Act, which would stop the procedure for selecting a chief prosecutor.
The civil organization emphasizes that a minimum of three parliamentary weeks are needed for the adoption of the law, and the date of January 16, when the elections to the Supreme Judicial Council are scheduled to take place, is approaching.
"With each passing day, the impasse is getting bigger. And unfortunately, the impasse is mostly in the parliament. One parliamentary republic in the EU refuses to work. Some people's representatives refuse to elect a chairman. "Whether, when and how - no one is saying, but everyone wants to go to the elections and there is currently an election campaign going on inside the National Assembly," commented Velislav Velichkov, "Justice for Everyone".
