43 fires burned in Bulgaria in one day  - 1

A total of 43 fires were extinguished in the country in the last 24 hours. One person died, the General Directorate of "Fire Safety and Protection of the Population" reported. (GDPBZN) on its website.

At 4:00 p.m. Yesterday, the fire department in Vratsa received a report about a fire in a house in the village of Bukovets, Byala Slatina municipality. An 82-year-old man died in the fire. Upon arrival at the scene, the team found that a roof had fallen and buried the man.

Firefighters responded to 69 reports of accidents. 14 fires caused direct material damage, of which six were in residential buildings and two in vehicles.

There were 29 fires without material damage, of which 20 were in waste and eight were in cooking appliances and chimneys. 23 rescue operations and assistance operations were carried out, five of which involved vehicle accidents. Three bogus calls have been logged.
