„I am often asked what the possible majority is. The possible majority is the realized one. Everything else is in the realm of hypotheses. At the moment, we have implemented a majority, but it is not a managerial one – nowhere in the talks did we bet that this majority would grow into a managerial one, he also stated.
„It is possible to enter into talks with all political forces, without “DPS-New Beginning”, in an attempt to create a programmatic, pro-Bulgarian and supra-party government with a clear profile, but also with clear political support, not with floating majorities. We have not promised GERB anything, because nothing has been asked of us. Conditions have not been set by either side”, explained Zafirov.
„The good thing about this whole situation is that if until a few months ago BSP was the party that was pushed into a corner and no one wanted to talk to it, in international isolation and in isolation from other political forces, today the United Left is already a preferred partner for conversation“, the chairman of the party also commented.
Zafirov clarified that the procedure for electing a new chairman of the BSP is underway.
„On December 15, our conferences end. At the meeting of the National Council, we will decide how to proceed in the future. I have declared my willingness to become chairman. There are certain threats to the BSP. Cornelia Ninova is part of the BSP's history. Her approach at the moment is strange, but she is not a threat to the BSP”, he stated.
