President Rumen Radev made a comment to journalists from Paris. He is in the French capital for the restoration of the renovated Notre Dame Cathedral, Dariknews.bg reports.
He also commented on the current political situation in our country:
I want to congratulate the National Assembly on the election of the chairman. I will start consultations on Tuesday," the president said.
He also commented on the election of the new chairman of the National Assembly. "Kiselova is a prominent expert, a constitutionalist with observation and work experience, I expect her to bring reassurance, but let's not fall into the hypothesis of a future caretaker government, consultations are forthcoming. The consultations will show whether there is potential to form a regular government. Only then can we discuss options for a caretaker government," President Radev said. "Apparently, we are waiting for consultations, intensive dialogue between parties, negotiations between the main political forces, so from then on it will be clear whether we will have a regular government or not," the president said.
We remind you that Radev is in Paris from December 7 to 9.
"I want to express my gratitude to French President Macron for the opportunity to discover together the restoration of one of the symbols of Christianity," the president said. He recalled that the ceremony gathers leaders from all over the world. "The Holy Virgin of Paris is a symbol of European culture and history and tradition," said Radev.
Radev stated that the event does not foresee bilateral meetings.
