"Democratic Bulgaria" will go to talks with GERB, the approach of "We continue the change" is different, but there is no tension in the coalition partners. This became clear after the consultations on forming a government under President Rumen Radev with representatives of PP-DB, quoted by BNT.
"The general position of the PP-DB PG is that Bulgaria should have a regular government. It must be elected by the parliament with a program that is pro-European and anti-corruption. Our goal is common, there is no tension. For both PP and DB, the measures from the sanitary cordon declaration against Peevski are mandatory. We will not back down from them. The difference in the different approach is that yes, we from DB will go to negotiations with GERB to explain the measures and to insist on their implementation. A question for GERB - at the moment there is no such invitation. We will demand from GERB to give guarantees for the implementation of these measures", emphasized Nadezhda Yordanova from DB.
"We respect the approach of our coalition partners, the end vision is the same. We do not trust Borisov and GERB that they will break with the backroom and with Peevski. The three reasons why this accusation happened is that the sanitary cordon worked in Parliament. A Speaker of the Parliament was elected which threatens Mr. Peevski and his power because the Judiciary Act is hopefully coming to the floor very soon, this means one of his Peevski clubs is under threat and that is Sarafov. The second is that I believe this accusation is not a threat to us. It won't change our behavior. I believe the threat is against GERD. I believe that Peevski is showing GERB to be careful, not to take a step back or throw it under the bus, and he is actually waving his Sarafov weapon at the moment to tell GERB - be careful. The third is that there is a huge scandal about the private money that has been going to his family continuously, in order to apparently maintain certain funds, for Mr. Sarafov and his family," Kiril Petkov said.
