What is the evidence available to the investigators related to Kiril Petkov's abuse of power during the arrests of Boyko Borisov, Sevdelina Arnaudova and Vladislav Goranov? Yesterday, the chief prosecutor Borislav Sarafov requested Petkov's parliamentary immunity, and today he waived it. Part of the interrogation protocols show the chronology of events, bTV summarized.

Among those interrogated is the head of the NRA, Rumen Spetsov, as well as the head of the NSO, Emil Tonev. Both were in the office of then Prime Minister Kiril Petkov at the time of the arrests. Investigating police officers who participated in the detention of Borisov, Goranov and Arnaudova were also questioned.

Before noon on the day of the arrests, March 17, 2022, Petkov met with several police officers from the National Police. He insisted on being questioned immediately. Even then there were talks about searches in the homes of Borisov, Goranov and Arnaudova. All this became known from the testimony of chief investigating policeman Vanya Georgieva.

„It has been commented that if actions are going to be carried out, they should generally be done during daylight hours, but we were told it should be done in a timely manner,”, she says.

Another police officer says that even before the arrests, Petkov discussed with everyone how to start the pre-trial proceedings: “Kiril Petkov insisted on avoiding and bypassing the prosecutor's office and not reporting on the initiation of this case and the work on it” .

About an hour and a half before the arrests, the head of the NSO, Emil Tonev, was called to Petkov's office. Asen Vasilev, Boyko Rashkov and the head of DANS Plamen Tonchev were there.

„Kyril Petkov told me that I was asked to wait in his office and a minute before the police team arrived at Boyko Borisov's address, which will detain Boyko Borisov, only then to call the team that guards Borisov , in order to warn them about Borisov's arrest by the police to prevent an incident, Tonchev says.

The addresses of the three were discussed with the head of the NRA Rumen Specov.

When the police went to Borisov's address, the news was greeted with a treat in Petkov's office, the NSO chief claims. A bottle of whiskey was taken out, and Petkov and Asen Vassilev said that Borisov should be taken out in handcuffs and thus taken to the “National Police”. This is confirmed by other evidence. Separately, it is claimed that after the arrest, other people also went to Petkov's office, including Lena Borislavova.
