Gutsanov: We will elect a BSP chairman in January or February - 1

The election of the BSP chairman will take place at the end of January or at the beginning of February. The rules have not been changed and there will be a direct election. The National Council and the Congress are the bodies that can finally make the decisions, but there must be a direct election and we must follow these rules, which are currently in the party's statute. This was commented on in the studio of "The Day Begins with Georgi Lyubenov" by the chairman of the PG of "BSP - United Left" Borislav Gutsanov.

He said that he is ready to play in the most serious and honest way possible in the battle for chairman of the socialists:

"I believe that the BSP is the party that can give a lot to the country and can get Bulgaria out of this crisis we are in - political and economic. A situation in which I do not believe that there is a Bulgarian who likes what is developing in the country and the BSP has something to give to the state."

Borislav Gutsanov is categorical that there must be a regular cabinet:

"The political leaders who are part of the parliament must realize that the political ego must be one step back. Something that we managed to do with the election of the Speaker of the National Assembly and the imposition of a candidacy of Assoc. Prof. Natalia Kiselova, who is undoubtedly the most suitable for this stage, in which the parliament is on the verge of a constitutional crisis, on the verge of the collapse of the statehood and thank God we came to this choice, which was the best."

He again stated that there is no way they can support a political cabinet of GERB, but if we are talking about an expert or program cabinet, this is something different. Tomorrow this will be discussed in the National Council of the BSP and it will be decided whether to receive the necessary powers of a contact group to hold talks with GERB, but not to govern GERB.

"With this fragmented parliament, of course, the priorities need to be seen and whether there are points of contact. We have priorities that are indisputable for the BSP - the social program in the state and social peace. People cannot live on the verge of poverty. "Everyone is waiting for a serious welfare state," Gutsanov added.
