Vladislav Panev: DB alone will not enter into a coalition with GERB - 1

It is necessary to have a regular cabinet, but DB alone will not enter into a coalition with GERB. This was stated in the studio of “Offensive with Lyubo Ognyanov” on NOVA NEWS by the former co-chairman of “Green Movement” Vladislav Panev.

“We must look for an option for forming a government. DB approaches this task responsibly. The goal is to demafiotize Bulgaria, to move towards prosperity. We see that the cordon sanitaire is accepted or not by certain parties”, said Panev and specified that only DB, apart from PP, will not enter into a coalition with GERB under any conditions. "I exclude an option in which the DB independently enters a coalition," he said.

For him, what determines the future cabinet are its priorities. "It is important that there are reforms in the judiciary, that regulators change, that there are reforms and that the budget does not threaten the financial stability of the state," Panev said.

According to him, the prosecutor's office is really being used as a bludgeon. "The request for immunity for Kiril Petkov, for Lena Borislavova, the arrest of Asen Vassilev's driver. Three cases when consultations with the president begin - it is clear that it is political pressure. I see it as an incentive not to form a government, not to rush into changes to the Judiciary Act”, the former co-chair of the “Green Movement” motivated.

Regarding the draft budget, he believes that in this version, it should not be adopted. “This budget should not be adopted. I remember 1996, when during the discussions Ventsislav Dimitrov physically threw the draft budget out of the parliament window. 20 billion leva growth in expenses, respectively in revenues, is insane. 46% of GDP as planned expenses has never been. This cannot but have an impact on taxpayers”, explained the politician. According to him, an amnesty is not needed. He recalled that a year ago Bulgaria was included in the gray list for money laundering. "If we implement this amnesty now, which list will we be on?" Panev asked.
