A 13-year-old child is in danger of life after being struck by an arc flash. The incident occurred at around 4 p.m. on Tuesday at the Stamboliyski railway station, NOVA learned from the city police.
The child was accompanied by a friend with whom they decided to take a selfie on a train. While boarding one of the carriages, he was struck by the arc flash.
Witnesses who were in the area immediately called 112 and an emergency team arrived on the scene. The injured boy was taken to a Plovdiv hospital and is in danger of life. The other has minor burns. It is not yet clear whether the site of the serious incident was guarded by BDZ employees.
