In the first days of the new year, Greeks flock to our country to shop. In addition to shops, they, of course, also stop by gas stations, where fuel prices are lower than in Greece. Growth is also expected in tourist visits from our southern neighbor, reports Nova TV.
Meeting Greeks at the “Tower” is now quite the order of things. It is visible to everyone that our southern neighbors look much more often to the north than them. There, where our gas stations, shops and restaurants are eagerly waiting for them.
Fuel in our country is about 1 leva cheaper and this attracts those living in Greece near the border. According to regular shoppers, however, our entry into Schengen may have an effect on prices in the border areas and they could very quickly catch up with Greek prices.
The end of the queues is also excellent news for Bulgarians living in Greece. They often have to go home, and this now happens without any problems and quickly.
Traders at the border are also very happy about the increased traffic from Greece, because sales are going up.
