We will support this government for the eurozone, the modernization of the army, but we will be uncompromising and extremely furious about any unregulated influences in the executive and judicial branches of "DPS - New Beginning". He said this in "The Day Begins" with Georgi Lyubenov, PP-DB MP Ivaylo Mirchev.
According to him, the agreement concluded by the regular government is fundamentally different from what the PP-DB proposed.
"There are no texts related to Peevski's unregulated influence in the institutions, in the judicial system and the executive branch - obviously someone is very worried about him. The key reforms regarding judicial reform and the implementation of the Magnitsky Act, the anti-corruption package are missing.
According to Mirchev, Peevski has influence in every institution and regulator in our country, except for the presidency and military intelligence. According to him, the previous caretaker government was "on call with Peevski".
"I have never corresponded with Peevski, I don't have his phone number. It doesn't bother me that he has Kiril's (Petkov.b.r.) phone number, they talked about the judicial reform. It worries me more that he wrote it down as Kiki. I've known Kiril Petkov for a long time and he's Kiril Petkov in my phone. You should ask Peevski how he wrote Boyko Borisov, because the two are much closer than with Kiril".
"If we see unregulated influence of Peevski with the executive branch and someone wants to support us, regardless of whether it's "Vazrazhdane" for example, they're welcome", Mirchev also said.
PP-DB are worried about the appointment of Ivaylo Ivanov as head of the cabinet of the Minister of the Interior. Ivaylo Mirchev commented that Ivanov is also "a very close person to Peevski".
"He was the chief secretary during the 2020 protests. Boyko Borisov, because he is very sensitive about women and defended Lena Borislavova, let him now be so kind and tell his interior minister not to appoint as chief of staff the person who was also responsible for violence against women during the 2020 protests," he urged.
