Intensive traffic of trucks is observed at the exit of the "Kapitan Andreevo" border checkpoint. This was announced by the Main Directorate of the "Border Police" in its regular information on traffic at the border checkpoints at 06:00 this morning.
At the same time, the institution informs about the renewal of repair activities on the Bulgarian section of the Danube Bridge near Ruse. A temporary traffic organization has been introduced, with traffic moving in one lane with a through-traffic regime under the control of employees of the contractor company.
Drivers should also keep in mind the restrictions when passing through the "Malko Tarnovo" border checkpoint, where only one route is temporarily used due to reconstruction of the checkpoint.
The Border Police are issuing a special warning to travelers traveling to the Rudozem – Xanthi destination. Construction activities are underway on the road on the Greek side, and the Greek authorities have placed warning signs prohibiting access to outsiders in the construction zone.
For travelers to Greece, it is important to know that only passenger cars and vans up to 3.5 tons are allowed to pass through the border crossings in the area of Makaza, Zlatograd and Ivaylovgrad.
On the borders with North Macedonia and Serbia, normal traffic is reported at all checkpoints.
