Relatives and friends of the deceased prisoner in Kazanlak organized a protest and vigil in his memory today.

47-year-old Daniel Kiskinov died after being arrested, and two police officers from the District Department in the city - Boris Todorov and Dimitar Ivanov - have been detained for his death. They are charged with premeditated murder, committed with particular cruelty.

The death of Daniel Kiskinov, who is one of the graduates of physicist Teodosii Teodosiev, has caused many questions and unrest among the local community. On February 26, after a report of a bicycle theft was filed, police officers Boris Todorov and Dimitar Ivanov were sent to the scene and found that the bicycle was in Daniel Kiskinov's yard. When they tried to detain him and handcuff him, Kiskinov showed aggression. However, his friends did not believe him:

"I cannot imagine him in the role of someone wild, crazy, as they are trying to portray the situation. Smart, extremely smart. He was from the last physics class at the Mathematical High School, which produced 5-6 great Olympians", said Georgi Byandov.

"Daniel was my friend for many years. He was a peaceful, philosophical soul. He had a huge heart, a person who gave himself and gave his all to others. Such calmness. He had gotten into awkward situations so many times and had passed them by with a joke. "I have never seen aggression in him in so many years since I have known him," added Ivalin Ivanov.

According to the evidence collected, the two police officers used brutal violence against him, as a result of which he died in the hospital in Kazanlak two hours after the arrest. The forensic medical examination established that the cause of Kiskinov's death was severe combined chest and abdominal trauma.
