Everything Kiselova did is political repression, pressure, and dirty methods against a parliamentary group, which Zafirov calls loud, but in fact it offers the only opposition solutions in the interest of the people. This was stated in the studio of "The Day Begins" on BNT by the leader of the MECH party Radostin Vassilev regarding the scandal with the disbandment of the party's parliamentary group.
Radostin Vassilev announced civil disobedience and stated that he would hand over the Speaker of the National Assembly to a prosecutor. We recall that the BSP and GERB defended Kiselova's actions. However, the ITN stated that the Speaker of the National Assembly should reconsider his decision.
Vassilev explained that he had not spoken to anyone after the scandal.
"I don't know, I haven't spoken to anyone after that, but I saw that we were receiving support from "Vazrazhdane", "There is such a people", "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria". Look, what Kiselova did, if it were legal and if the MECH group had really disintegrated, I would not dispute it. But because it is illegal, because it does not comply with the rules themselves, not just the spirit of the law, it is illegal, because it was done with the sole purpose of destroying me as a political representation in its full form in parliament, our reaction will be proportional. In a few words, I want to tell you - under the current rules, a group is left or excluded by a member of parliament from it, thus reducing its number. There are only two possibilities. The member of parliament can leave or be excluded. In the event of death, in the event of incompatibility, after a decision of the Constitutional Court, these seats of members of parliament remain vacant, not vacated, until the moment of the swearing-in of the new members and their inclusion in this parliamentary group. There is no hypothesis that, after we wait for two colleagues to be sworn in, she will announce that our group has fallen below the minimum.
BNT: How long can you wait for them?
- There is no such deadline, but we are waiting for them, one of them, the CEC's decision is from Thursday and his first opportunity to take the oath is on Friday. So we have been waiting for him one day after the decision. We have been waiting for the other one for four working days. So we have not been waiting for them. Radostin Vassilev, the Speaker of Parliament, called Assoc. Prof. Natalia Kiselova "a charlatan".
"The Rules of Procedure do not allow the MECH group to be disbanded. There is no factual justification. There are two decisions of the Constitutional Court for this - from 2003, from 2010, which explain what a vacancy is. We have very serious practice. She is not a constitutionalist. She is a charlatan who was put in charge of the Bulgarian parliament incompetently. This is the truth. I will stand up and not let her sit in the chairman's seat. And they will have to bleed me to remove me from there. Not to defend me, to defend the truth."
Asked in which role he sees himself more - as the hooligan of Bulgarian politics or as a victim of the status quo, Radostin Vassilev replied:
"I have nothing against being a hooligan in the fight against the mafia, Robin Hood, call me that if you want, no problem. We are just starting to take from the rich and give to the poor. We cannot achieve this yet, because the government of the Mutren continues to be the leader in Bulgaria."
