The Executive Bureau of the National Council of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) stated its categorical support for the actions of the Speaker of the National Assembly Natalia Kiselova.
"From the first day in this position, she has followed the rules, applied consistently and without pressure, and has defended the institution with a clear position and composure. In the current situation, she has shown that she does not succumb to pressure and manipulation, but acts responsibly and in the interests of statehood. We support her decision without hesitation.
We appreciate that our partners in the government stand on the same positions. This is a sign that stability and political responsibility are more important than momentary noise.
At the same time, we state clearly: the destructive and provocative behavior of MP Radostin Vassilev is unacceptable. He is deliberately undermining the authority of the National Assembly and trying to create chaos. These actions are not a political opinion – this is sabotage. We do not accept and will not remain silent in the face of such behavior.
The Bulgarian Socialist Party does not participate in such scenarios. And it will not do so. We are a party that stands for order, law and responsibility. We have always been on the side of institutions, not hysteria. The party has always defended the Constitution and has been a guarantor of parliamentarism and the rule of law. We will continue to defend this – firmly and consistently&rdash;," said Chairman Atanas Zafirov.
