A car crashed and crashed into a traffic light at the intersection near Bila in the capital's "Lyulin" 6 district, eyewitnesses reported in the Facebook group "Catastrophes in Sofia".
According to the publication, the driver of the car left the scene of the accident, leaving the car locked and with emergency lights on.
"In 'Lyulin' 6, the intersection near Bila - he crashed into a traffic light and there is no one there, the car is locked and on emergency lights", eyewitnesses indicated on the social network.
Later, witnesses added that the driver returned to the scene of the accident. The causes of the accident are still being clarified by the competent authorities.
A police team was at the scene, inspecting the scene. According to the information, traffic in the area was not disrupted despite the incident.
Comments on social networks do not fail to note that such behavior - leaving the scene of the accident - is often associated with attempts to avoid alcohol checks or other violations. "This is certainly not the driver, but someone who will take the blame for a few leva, sober and not intoxicated", writes one of the users.
Other comments ironically note that the driver "went to bring his wife/mother to say that she was driving, a classic in the genre", hinting at a common practice of avoiding criminal liability in traffic accidents.
