The Prosecutor's Office is conducting an investigation into the death of a 7-year-old child from the village of Litakovo, BNT reports. Yesterday, he was transported by ambulance from Botevgrad to "Pirogov" in Sofia, but died on the way to the hospital.
The girl was admitted to the hospital in Botevgrad with abdominal pain, and a decision was made to take her to Sofia. Her condition worsened on the way, and the attempts of the doctors in "Pirogov" to resuscitate him were unsuccessful.
Under the leadership of the Sofia District Prosecutor's Office, pre-trial proceedings have been initiated for causing death as a result of negligent performance of an occupation or other legally regulated activity, representing a source of increased danger.
"On 03.05.2025, 7-year-old A.A. was admitted to the Emergency Medical Care Branch in the town of Botevgrad with abdominal pain, after which the girl was transported to the University Hospital for Children and Young People "N.I.Pirogov". Despite the resuscitation activities performed, the death of the minor child was determined.
