A new accident near Telish, this time by chance without casualties. The truck overturned meters from the place where 12-year-old Siyana lost her life at the end of March.
The heavy-duty truck was traveling from Pleven to Sofia. In a left turn on the road, it entered oncoming traffic and turned off the road. According to preliminary data, the truck was probably traveling at a higher than the permitted speed. The photos of the accident were provided by Siyana's father, Nikolay Popov.
"This is the time to intervene with the Ministry of Interior. When I travel on this road, I don't see any Ministry of Interior vehicles. The trucks drive at insane speeds. Mostly Turkish drivers. This truck that turned over last night is Turkish. In Bulgaria, the speed limit outside populated areas for heavy goods vehicles, categories C+E and D+E, is 70 km/h.
