„Employees receive salaries that are not what Terziev announces - from 1500 to 2000 leva basic salary. After deductions, one traffic manager receives 1840 leva. This is a young employee who has been working in the specialty for 4 years, explains Valentin Danov, a dispatcher at the capital's „Metropolitan“ in the program "This Morning" on bTV.

"We don't have under 40 hours of overtime per month, that's 5 working days. Vacations are planned 1 year in advance, it's just a nightmare, there are no employees, no people. When it's time for vacation, they shrug and the vacation is canceled," says a taxi driver from the capital's city transport.
"For March, I took 1,600 leva. I was sick for 4 days, but the maximum I can take is 1,900 leva. Purely, with 4 children, this is absurd. The working conditions are brutal - chemical toilets outside, it's literally hell," says Reneta Dimitrova, who has been a taxi driver for 4 years.
"With a 100 leva salary increase, we can't afford anything substantial, taxes would eat them up to a large extent. The amount is ridiculous and absolutely insufficient, says a trolleybus driver. In order to receive an adequate salary, I have to give up my days off, which are on schedule. "If I give 5-6 of my days off, I could eventually get a more normal salary," explains a driver.
