"Nothing is stopping us at the moment when we have a date for the eurozone, to initiate our vote of no confidence in the government on policies that we do not believe will be done well - the Ministry of Interior, regional development". This was stated in "Panorama" on BNT by the co-chairman of "We continue the change" Kiril Petkov.
There are some questions that the people must ask themselves and we are "for". There are also some issues that the Constitution sets limits on and says that we have all decided to live in a state governed by the rule of law, Petkov commented on the president's proposal for a referendum on the euro.
"In 2005, we signed an international treaty to join the EU. Part of this treaty is joining the eurozone. If we had held a referendum before signing this treaty, it would have made sense. Denmark did this before signing the Maastricht Treaty and thus won a condition for the euro. Of these four criteria, one is voluntary - whether you enter the waiting room of the eurozone. If you decide not to enter, the state can wait. At this point, you can also put a referendum on the table and say: "Do you want to wait". That's what Sweden did. However, if you signed the contract with this condition and entered the waiting room, from there on things become automatic".
Bulgaria will become richer and more successful if we are in the center of Europe and we have no corruption, he is categorical.
"Nearly 70% of Bulgaria's trade is with the eurozone. If we have convergence on the topic of inflation development, interest rates, stability, we show that our economy and the eurozone are in sync. It's not about who is rich, who is poor. On June 4, I believe that we will receive an answer that the Bulgarian economy is sufficiently connected to the eurozone to be able to take its step forward".
The currency board was first introduced in colonial countries, and when we enter the eurozone, we stop being recipients of instructions and increase our sovereignty, Kiril Petkov also said.
"In the global economy, the bigger you are and the stronger your union, the greater the competitive advantage you have. The US and Europe are the only ones who benefit from being the reserve currencies of other countries".
According to the co-chair of the PP, there is political sabotage against the mayor of Sofia, organized by Borisov and Peevski.
"He was denied 400 million for kindergartens, we offered it in the last budget, 100 million is not given to him in the municipal program. The municipal council changed the boards of the municipal companies under him, suddenly they support the protest. Both the state does not give him first place, and the municipal council sabotages it. I am sure that there are many quality people in the transport sector, but it is not normal to block the depots, to receive your money, but to be actually on strike and all Sofia residents to be hostages, in order to pressure Terziev".
Next week a protest will be organized in support of Vasil Terziev and the PP stands behind it, Petkov added.
