Radomir Cholakov: Radev's referendum on the euro costs Bulgaria 1 billion leva - 1

President Rumen Radev's desire to stop the adoption of the euro costs Bulgaria 1 billion leva. This was stated by the former GERB-SDS MP Radomir Cholakov, who sees the crises in Bulgarian society, which appear every week on a new topic, as a system, not as madness.

„If the contract for "Botas" remains, then we risk "Bulgargaz", if it falls, the next one is "Toplofikatsiya Sofia" at least. After that, our entire energy system is about to fall like dominoes," Cholakov explained on NOVA.

According to the former minister, since the talk about "Botas" has started to intensify, Rumen Radev suddenly brought up the topic of the referendum.

“I can't get rid of the feeling that someone wants to constantly create crises in Bulgarian society, and they are one after the other. Every week there is a case that inflames public opinion and political forces. This means that if it's not madness, then there is a system,” he pointed out.

Regarding the referendum problem, according to Cholakov, President Rumen Radev was aware that his question was unconstitutional.

“Why did he ask that question then? Since Radev is doing it despite everything, it means that he wants to achieve a political effect - to create noise in the party system of the parliament and tension in society. If the president wants to create crises, he is already on his way to succeeding, "the former MP added.
