Disruptions to the power supply in the municipalities of Kostinbrod, Bozhurishte and Godech may occur on May 27, 28 and 29 due to reconstruction at an ESO substation
The State Electricity System Operator (ESO) notified ERM West that on May 28, 2025, it will carry out reconstruction of a facility at its substation “Kostinbrod“. The activities require a change in the electricity supply scheme for consumers in the municipalities of Kostinbrod, Bozhurishte and Godech.
Due to the change in the electricity supply scheme on May 27, 28 and 29, power supply disruptions are possible in the settlements of Bezden, Bogyovtsi, Bozhurishte, Buchin prohod, Voluyak, Godech, Golyanovtsi, Gradets, Gurmazovo, Delyan, Dragovishtitsa, Drenovo, Drumsha, Zlatusha, Kostinbrod, Lopushnya, Mala Rakovitsa, Manastirishte, Opictvet, Petarch, Pozharevo, Ponor, Prolesha, Raduy, Rosoman, Herakovo, Tsarichina, Tsriklevtsi and Shuma.
It is possible that the repair activities of the ESO will be accompanied by short-term operational switching lasting up to 5 minutes. Operational switching is related to changing the power supply scheme and is done in order to protect the life and health of the network workers. After the completion of the repair activities, switching is performed again in order to restore the normal power supply scheme.
