Dogan and those around him will probably lose the DPS brand. Whether they will form a new party is a matter of personal choice. The question here is whether the structures around Dogan will withstand the pressure. This opinion was expressed by political scientist Assoc. He also commented on Delyan Peevski's proposal to suspend party subsidies and seize state and municipal public buildings for parties whose leaders, chairmen and co-chairmen are under investigation for serious intentional crimes under the Criminal Code.
This proposal came as a response to the PP-DB proposal for sanctions under the "Magnitsky". This is unconstitutional and I do not think it will be allowed to be voted on in the chamber. Peevski himself knows that the proposal is unconstitutional, added Lyubenov.
Regarding the referendum on the euro proposed by President Radev, Assoc. Prof. Lyubenov said: The president is using the topic from the perspective of his personal interest. It is not about concern for the people and citizens being asked. We need to consider this proposal in the medium and long term regarding the political future of the president.
