Tsvetanka Andreeva: We have outspoken opponents of the euro who are connected to pro-Russian politics - 1

With negative attitudes towards the eurozone, we have outspoken opponents of the euro who are connected to pro-Russian politics - about 25%. There are also fears towards the euro that are connected to the euro's transition period - that's different. This was stated on Nova TV by political analyst Tsvetanka Andreeva.

Political analyst Milen Lyubenov emphasized: “Bulgaria's path is clear. Things will soon calm down and there will be no topic for conflict. A sharp increase in confidence in the euro has also been noted in other member states after its introduction.”

”The opponents of the euro are very vocal, but few in number. Among those who are against, there are people with real fears. We are waiting for the information campaign”, Andreeva emphasized.

Regarding the vote of no confidence prepared by the PP-DB, she emphasized that the transition to the euro is just beginning and the country needs political stability.

„If Borisov and GERB decide that it is more profitable for them to go to elections, with the actions of President Radev he has shown that he wants to get involved with a party. Such a move is very risky. If they decide to go to early elections and the president is there, the situation will be very different. I think that it is precisely the danger of the president entering the political arena that would unite the ruling majority in the long term,” Lyubenov believes.

According to Andreeva, the big problem is that there is still no alternative to this government: “Instead of PP-DB wondering how to overthrow a stable government, it is better for them to try to join it. However, Radev is not a bearer of conservative values, so I do not see him being able to get out of the left field, which is about 20-25%.”

”The Euro does not solve the problem with the rule of law”, Lyubenov reminded.

”Peevski is the legitimate leader of the DPS. It is normal that the structures of the MRF, which were with Dogan, do not want to be in a new party, but to remain in the party”, commented Tsvetanka Andreeva.

However, Lyubenov stated: “If this brings success to Peevski in the short term, the first shake-up of his persona will destroy this model.”
