The launch of the new 15 kilometers of the „Hemus“ highway is being postponed. This was announced by the regional minister Ivan Ivanov, quoted by bTV.
The problem is that the connecting routes from the highway to Pleven have not yet been completed. We are talking about the bypass near the village of Dermantsi. The goal is for traffic to pass through there. The third-class road from Dermantsi in the direction of Pleven will also be repaired.
„Hemus“ Highway 1 lot 1 from Boaza to Dermantsi will be ready within the specified deadline - end of June - beginning of July, as signed with the builder. I accepted the arguments of the „Road Infrastructure“ Agency. We have commissioned the repair of the Dermantsi - Pleven road for the safety of travelers. The entire road is being repaired. For this reason, we will delay the commissioning. The repair of road 3-305 will be completed at the end of August, he specified.
The final deadline for completing the first lot has been postponed several times so far. Initially, it was planned to be ready by the end of 2024. Then this deadline was postponed to the beginning of 2025.
After it became clear that it would not be ready then either, it was again extended until July of this year, but it seems that this time it will also be canceled.
