The metaphor reveals that with the adoption of the euro, the last chance for collusion between GERB and the democratic opposition was lost. Before, this topic brought them closer, as did the war in Ukraine, now the question remains what to do. This was said in the program "Face to Face" on BTV by journalist Vesselin Stoynev in connection with the former commentary by GERB leader Boyko Borisov that there is a "Barbarossa" plan against the introduction of the euro and that Kiril Petkov, Asen Vassilev and Nikolay Denkov are participating in it.
Borisov means that this is an attempt to take over a territory that is unconquerable. Kiril Petkov could not remember exactly what it was about, added PR expert Nidal Algafari.
The moves of "We continue the change – "Democratic Bulgaria" devalues the very idea of a vote of no confidence and it resembles the votes of "Vazrazhdane" and "Velicie", Stoynev said.
Such a vote would be useful for Bulgaria to see what the strength of the opposition is and what collaborations they will enter into with each other, as well as what their arguments will be. After the euro is adopted, a very stable and strong government will be needed to dispel people's fears and make the transition. It is logical that if there is such a vote, it should be somewhere in the summer of next year, Algaffari pointed out.
Peevski has already been completely washed up and if anyone can bring down the government, it is not the opposition, but Peevski himself. He provides the necessary votes for the cabinet. For those in power, Peevski is no longer some shameful stain that needs to be hidden. Borisov even mentioned him as a minister, commented Veselin Stoynev.
The question for the opposition is what they will implement, with whom and when. The big question remains - you, by asking for a vote of no confidence, are you ready to govern and with whom? At the moment, the opposition is only instilling distrust in itself. When you have 13-14% public trust, you must first show that you have the ability to grow in order for this vote to make sense, the journalist noted.
The ruling party has a sufficient majority and no matter how the opposition gathers, it cannot do anything special. Borisov and Peevski will not allow small formations to send them to elections just because they want to. Rather, the opposition parties will use this vote to pump themselves up, because they have made many blunders, said Nidal Algafari.
