"Continuing the Change" meets at National Council, chooses topic for no-confidence vote - 1

"Continuing the Change" will not put "at risk" Bulgaria's entry into the eurozone, for which a final decision is expected on July 9. Therefore, on July 12, 2025, the party convenes the National Council to choose the topic for the no-confidence vote against the government.

"After July 9, the Eurozone becomes irreversible. Therefore, before the vote in the European Council and the European Parliament, we will not put Bulgaria's entry into the Eurozone at any risk. The current government has a majority of "DPS - New Beginning", GERB, ITN and BSP. It can only fall if Peevski and Borisov decide to overthrow it. However, this would not happen with the topics of our vote, because Peevski's money boxes and people are behind them, and we will explain it in detail in the debate. The main goal of the vote of no confidence is to show that we cannot accept Peevski and Borisov governing this country, but more importantly, through public pressure, we can achieve a change in a certain policy of the ruling party. As with pensions - because of our pressure, the increase became 8% instead of 5%. The same happened with the decision on free medicines for children", writes the co-chair of the PP Kiril Petkov.

"On July 12, 2025, we are convening the National Council of "Continuing the Change" to choose the topic with which we can be most effective, so that there is a change in the work of this government. Then we will also start talks with "Democratic Bulgaria" for support and then with the other parties. The potential topics are many: Ministry of Interior - smuggled umbrellas, 420,000 leva for icons and balloons; culture - institutional blockage in the cultural sphere; MRDPW - Ruse-Varna highway at double prices, gray cardinals like Taki and Mirinski determine large public procurements; healthcare - young doctors and nurses are leaving because of low salaries; Energy - "Forges in energy with emission quotas", adds Petkov.
