The reports of the European Commission and the European Central Bank justify all the reservations and all the concerns that President Rumen Radev had when he proposed a referendum on the euro. This was stated by Vice President Iliyana Yotova to journalists in the area of “Ilieva niva“ near the village of Glumovo in Ivaylovgrad.
"You see that the findings are quite serious, the warnings are serious and we are left with the impression that the European institutions are now giving us a huge credit of trust so that all their remarks are implemented", Yotova explained.
She noted the quality of management until money laundering and “gray“ a list that includes Bulgaria, the development of the Bulgarian economy, stability and truly full membership in the economic and monetary union.
"We are late with the explanatory campaign. Secondly, it is important that efforts are directed to ensure that the fears of Bulgarian citizens are not justified, that they do not become reality", the Vice President also noted.
Yotova also commented that the entire accession process must be waited for and then more serious comments will be made.
Vice President Iliyana Yotova also added that an attempt was made in Bulgaria to shift the emphasis that President Radev placed with the request for a referendum, explaining that the presidential institution has never spoken “for“ and “against“ Europe, but only about the pros and cons that would arise after the introduction of the single European currency in our country.
"In the coming months, I expect from the majority and the government a serious increase in incomes, control of inflation, as well as many investments in the country, economic stability and an increase in the standard of living," Yotova also said.
