A brutal accident involving a patrol car occurred on the Ring Road in Sofia in the area of the "Ovcha Kupel" residential area.
The police car was driving in the oncoming lane on Nikola Petkov Blvd. with lights and sirens on, when a car came out of "Evliya Chelebi" Str. to merge onto the Ring Road. A brutal impact followed, after which the patrol car crashed into the guardrail, eyewitnesses reported in the Facebook group "Catastrophes in Sofia".
According to information from BTV, two Ministry of Interior employees were injured. The driver who caused the accident, who fled, is being sought.
Emergency teams arrived at the scene and took the injured police officers to “Pirogov“.
