She explained that the Ministry of Interior has shown an inability to deal with the situation with Yavor in Varna. What has been seen in recent days is what should be done in such a situation. The law enforcement agencies that have to deal with such situations, as well as their leaders, criticized Bachvarova.
According to her, the Ministry of Interior does not have a policy for increased police arbitrariness, but the measures and processes that limit the possibility of its manifestation have also not been developed. Ministry of Interior employees react with basic training and it is not updated more effectively, according to her. With so many unions, it is difficult to make decisions in the Ministry of Interior, Rumyana Bachvarova highlighted another problem.
"The behavior of the post of Minister of Interior is highly politicized. GERB has reconsidered its attitude and is currently supporting the Minister of Interior. In 2-3 days, there has been a change in attitude. The Ministry of Interior is a repressive structure and should be directed against citizens who are violators. "The Ministry of Interior employees must understand that they are the people who must protect the citizens," Bachvarova added.
Regarding the war between Israel and Iran, Bachvarova commented that no matter how radical the conflicts so far have been, they have been relatively short. "The topic of the threat from Iran has been on the agenda in Israel for a very long time, and I remember that 12 years ago, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had revealed the entire archive with documentation on Iran's nuclear facilities. Ever since then, there has been an alarm about the threat and everyone is prepared that at some point this will happen. In this sense, there is a readiness to endure, because regardless of who supports Netanyahu, society is united around its cause," Bachvarova commented on the geopolitical situation.
According to her, all possible scenarios have been considered and there is not a single random step in the war. Everything is planned very well and the consequences of the war are clear, Bachvarova pointed out and criticized that Bulgaria only looks at the war from the outside, given that nuclear weapons from Iran can reach the borders of Europe.
