An elderly Israeli woman with Bulgarian roots died in an Iranian attack on a block of flats in the Israeli city of Bat Yam the day before. This was revealed by the Bulgarian National Radio

According to relatives of Bella Ashkenazi, the 94-year-old woman was one of those killed in the rocket attack on the 14-story apartment building in Bat Yam. She is the wife of the long-time director of the Bulgarian Club in the city, Haim Ashkenazi.
The Ashkenazi family had difficulty moving and were unable to go down to the hiding place in the basement of the building. Their son and personal assistant remained with them, granddaughter Boena reported.
The elderly woman died in the rocket strike, and Chaim Ashkenazi and their son are in the hospital and unable to speak.
