The price of light fuels in our country may reach the psychological limit of 3 leva per liter if the US intervenes in the war between Israel and Iran. This was predicted to BNT by Dimitar Hadzhidimitrov from the Association of Bulgarian Traders, Producers and Importers of Fuels.
Oil rose in price on international markets immediately after the exchange of blows between Israel and Iran began. Observers are closely monitoring the processes in the Strait of Hormuz, through which most of the oil in the Middle East passes. At the same time, the main factor in whether there will be a sharp jump will be the possible involvement of the United States in the conflict.
"In the next two months, the forecasts are not very favorable - both for consumers and for
a very large part of the participants in the fuel market. I am talking about retailers, wholesalers, and even some producers. I can say that a sharp increase in oil delivery prices is not favorable for absolutely anyone. As a somewhat dry statistic, I can say that in the last 10 days, wholesale prices for light fuels in Bulgaria have jumped by about 30 stotinki. So at the moment we have increased them by 5-6 stotinki in the last week. So, most likely, next month we will see prices above 2.60 leva. If the US intervenes in this offensive, then we can already talk about prices close to 3 leva. This will happen within about a month and a half to two. If things remain in this situation, with one bomb or another, the rise will continue. The features jumped by over $150 per ton in 3-4 days," said Dimitar Hadzhidimitrov from the Association of Bulgarian Fuel Traders, Producers and Importers.
According to him, the unfavorable situation on the fuel market will directly affect transport services, and hence the prices of goods in stores.
